Salt

Last May, I read with interest Patrick Heron's ebook, The Return of the AntiChrist and the New World Order.

In this book, he discusses Genesis 6:2-9, how the sons of God took the daughters of men for wives and produced the "Nephilim". Genesis 6:9 says that "Noah was perfect in his generations". According to Mr. Heron and many others, these Sons of God were fallen angels and because of them and their offspring, the world became so wicked that God had to destroy mankind with the exception of Noah. Noah was exempt from destruction because he loved God and his bloodline had not become corrupt by the mixing of angels with humans. This is an excellent book and shows much biblical research. It is very inexpensive, and can be purchased for $5, at his web site, here.

One of the things that Mr. Heron (and many others) propounds is that the fallen angels were manipulating genetics, i.e., crossing animal, vegetable, and human genes to come up with all kinds of weird creations and that that is why mythology contains so many unusual beings. He also thinks that possibly mythology is based on "some" truth from that time. So, today, I read this article from The Wall Street Journal which says that Pepsico is working on creating a "designer salt" to help us reduce our salt intake.

The Bible says that Christians are the salt of the earth as in Matthew 5:13 and that if the salt loses its savor, it is good for nothing. Could that article possibly be referencing something entirely different to believers in Christ? When you accept Christ as your Savior, your body becomes the Temple of God. God's Word says that he does not inhabit temples made of stone. Therefore, if we are truly the "salt of the earth, then could our bodies not also be looked at as a type of salt shaker in that we are constantly being filled up by God with His Holy Spirit and then poured out to accomplish His purpose in our lives. So when I consider this article about designer salt, I see it as picture of mankind being fed another false doctrine and maybe especially in view of the times we live in "The False Doctrine" or the Great Delusion.

If God truly destroyed the world with the flood due to the evil being worked by His fallen angels with women born of mankind, then aren't we right back where we started? Mankind is experimenting with God's creation today in ways that are surely an affront to God, i.e., cloning, embryonic stem cell research, singularity, transhumanism. I personally don't think that we should be genetically manipulating anything that God made. Genetic manipulation of plants and animals is one thing; but when you start genetically manipulating mankind by changing his DNA is an entirely different animal. Are we getting close to the point where God says enough, just like He did "in the days of Noah"?

For excellent information about singularity and transhumanism, go to John McTernan's site and read his articles and books about his belief that transhumanism (mixing DNA) will bring about the Beast referenced in Revelation 13:15. This article on manipulating sodium sounds like a parable for how satan is working overtime to genetically modify the body of Christ so that it cannot infuse the rest of the world with the true flavor of Christ and therefor become good for nothing.
