Waiting

The Lord wants to use all things to bring us closer to him. So many times we don't even stop to try to see his face in the crowd. We just look down and make our way through the crowd in our single-minded determination to get through the crises and get our life back to normal.

But what He wants is for us to take our time; stop, take a deep breath, sit down and think for five or ten minutes about what has happened, what might happen, what will happen and what our choices are in regard to each of those scenarios. He most definitely wants us to consult Him for his input and opinion on what has happened and what we should do. I tend to be a bull in a china store and go charging off in to the wild blue yonder to work my magic without a look back.

There's so much more room for change if you can do the more restrained version of those options, more room for growth in our maturity levels. And so, we can see how vital it is to be able to be PATIENT.

For lots of reasons, I have become one of those people who is longing for the end of this life and for the implementation of God's kingdom and rulership over the earth; and sometimes, I have to admit, it is not easy to be patient.

You ask, why in the world would anyone want this world to end? Well, as I go through my days, I am learning about the darkness of mankind's heart. There are so many things I could post on here about what is transpiring right in our midst that would break your heart. Things like: child prostitution, sex slaves, pornography, gambling, lying, stealing, murdering, abortion, militant gay and lesbian behavior, deception of the masses in churches throughout the world, genetically modified food, poisonous medication, enforced vaccines, genetically modified flu viruses, chemical warfare, nuclear warfare, terrorism. These are just the tip of the iceberg. I haven't done it, (and I'm not going to) but I'd bet $5 if I were to google the word bestiality, I'd come up with some pretty unpleasant proof that that's not just a "word", it is a deed.

The Bible says that just like in the days of Noah and Lot, life will be going on as usual and in the blink of an eye, the few who have been faithful to Him will be taken out of harm's way and the judgment of God will come. When you look at all the crummy, disgusting things going on in the world, you can't help but think it could be today; and I am trying my best to be patient so that the Lord can bring in all that he can before it's too late. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
